Special Events

2019 was the first year the we attended the food and wine festival. The Festival went from March 1 to April 23 at California Adventures. Food and drink booths are opened from 10:30am - 8:00 pm. We made special ears and shirts for the event. The Festival was an amazing experience and had way more to offer than I imagined. Here are things you should know to go before you go.

1) Split a Sip and Savor Pass: With a Sip and Savor pass ($54)  you can get you a taste of eight (8) different foods and non-alcoholic drinks. There are 16 different booths that you can visit most of which are along the parade route. If you are an annual pass holder, you can get a discount on the Sip and Savor Pass. We highly recommend sharing the pass with a buddy, because you get a ton of food from the pass.

2) Tasting Passport: Grab a Tasting Passport before you set out on the festival. The passport outlines food and beverages that are available at each of the booths. You can also look up the food items, on the Disneyland app, but we all know battery life is precious. You can get a special stamp for every booth you visit, and you can receive a stamp of completion if you visit every booth.

3) Beer Festival: This Festival is not all about wine. There is actually a large selection of beer that you can try. In Paradise Gardens you can enjoy the Beer Garden an a large selection of more filling food items.

4) Full Line of Events: I had no idea that the festival offered so many events. There is dinner with Disney Chefs and other family friendly seminars. There are wine, beer and mixology education and tasting seminars. There is a winemaker receptions at the Carthay Circle Restaurant. There are even performances in the Paradise Garden Parks. The festival does not stop with just food and wine, so take full advantage of all that the festival has to offer.

5) Special Merchandise: There are tons of special merchandise you can buy to remember the event. We took home a magnet (magnets are kind of our thing). Annual Pass holders get a special special lanyard if you purchase a Sip and Savor Pass. They also receive a special button to commemorate the event.
