Melinda Love (a.k.a Mel)

Favorite Disneyland Ride
Hands down I have to go on the Madahorn when I make a trip to Disneyland. I love the dark twist and turn of this ride. Particularly the renovations that have been done to include more of the mysterious Yeti. Pro Tip: This ride gets 100 times better in the dark!

Favorite Disney World Ride

Favorite Disneyland Snack
I am a sucker for cinnamon, so I love the churros. I know, I know, they are super pricey. But, there is just something about a warm churro while strolling around the Disney parks that makes it all worth it. Pro Tip: Grab a churro on your way out to make the ride home delicious.

Favorite Disney Movie
Tangled. I mean com’on!! That lantern scene gets me teared up every time. I love the Rupenzel’s independent spirit, and I admire the imperfect nature of Fin (I mean Eugene). Fun Fact: At the cocktail hour for my wedding, I had the dj play music from my husband and my favorite Disney movies.

Favorite Disney Quote
“Now Woody, he's been my pal for as long as I can remember. He's brave, like a cowboy should be. And kind, and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.” - Andy in Toy Story 3

Michaela Grant (a.k.a Kella)

Favorite Disneyland Ride
I really love Space Mountain. Like Melinda, I love the dark atmosphere of this ride. The speed always leaves me in tears. Pro Tips: Ask to sit in the front where you get all the wind in your face or sit in the back where you feel all the twist, turns, and dips.

Favorite Disney World Ride

Favorite Disneyland Snack
I LOVE POPCORN!

Favorite Disney Movie
The Lion King. When I was a youngster back in the days of VHS tapes, I would watch this movie two to three times a day. One day my sister tried to rewind the movie for me and the tape literally snapped. I had worn that thing out! Sigh, the circle of life.

Michaela graduated from college and achieved her degree in Graphic Design (she makes everything look pretty). She loves spending time cuddling with her doggie, Coco (a Pitbull terrier).

Who are we?

Hi Everyone, Melinda here, and as the big sister, I have been tasked to tell you all about me and Michaela. We were born and raised in Southern California and still live in the South bay. Being seven years apart in age, for a very long time, the only thing we could bond over was all things Disney (You can’t really talk to your baby sister about your latest crush). Thanks to our proximity to Anaheim, we spent lots of holidays and summers visiting Disneyland with friends and family. We loved going to the parks as kids, and for some odd reason that love never went away. I have even gone to the park by myself once when I was in high school. Now that we are older (and tickets are more expensive) we try to go at least once a year to explore what’s new at Disneyland.

We both had a dream of going to Disney World and our parents promised to take us for graduation. I graduated from high school, college, and grad school while Michaela graduated from middle school, high school, and community college….and still we had not been to Disney World. We had gotten the hint that our parents had no intentions of forking over hundreds of dollars for us to go to Orlando. All hope had been lost.

Now that we are older (and actually have jobs) we can afford to travel on our own steam. I, being the selfish older sister, went to Disney World on my honeymoon leaving poor Michaela behind. Naturally, Michaela felt betrayed seeing me fulfill our life long dream. When I returned, guilt crept in, so I began planning a trip for us to take together. I elicited the help of my parents, calling on them to make good on their long-abandoned promise. We will be going to Disney World together for New Year’s 2018.

In preparation for our trip I began to think, “Well dang! We have been to Disneyland a bunch of times we should make a website!” And so a new dream began. We created this site to share our vast love for ALL things Disney: The Parks, movies, and merchandise. We hope that you get a laugh out of our site, pick up some useful tips, get inspired by what we make, and live vicariously through us.
