Disney is hosting a park wide Egg hunt! The Eggstravaganza is going on now through April 21st! The Egg Hunt takes place at both parks as well as Downtown Disney. Here is how the Egg Hunt works:
1) Get a map: Purchase a map for $6.99 from a distribution location. Maps are different for both parks and Downtown Disney, but eggs are similar in all three locations. Good news, you do not have to purchase a map, there is a map that you can take a picture of in the same locations where you get a map. However, when you do purchase it includes a prize at the end of your Egg Hunt (more to come on that). You can purchase a map at most shops, but it’s best to get one at the entrance of the park. At Disneyland, you can grab one at the table next to the Disney Showcase, in DCA, you can grab one at Elias & Co., and when you head to Downtown Disney grab a map at the World of Disney or the Lego Store.
2) Set off on your hunt: While on the hunt, you are trying to locate where the character eggs are in all three locations. Look high and low (but mostly high) in the location and areas on the map. Once you find an egg, place the corresponding character sticker on the map location you found it.
3) On the hunt: Some of these eggs are definitely difficult to find. The Downtown Disney eggs as well as the California Adventure eggs are really simple to find. The Disneyland ones are a bit more challenging; some eggs are very hidden. I also recommend that you DO NOT do this hunt at night. We did some of the challenge at night and it was difficult to find the eggs, and it was difficult to see some of the eggs we found during the day when we passed by them later at night.
4) Claim your prize: Once you are done, return with your map and claim one of six character eggs; Minnie, Mickey, Aurora, Maleficent, Dumbo, and Timothy Q. Mouse. If you purchased a map, you can claim your prize egg. Each egg has a little treasure inside, from a stamp to stickers.
5) Extra eggs: The Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts set (3 eggs) is a little something extra you can purchase for $14.99 (nothing inside of these). This option is a cheaper option as doing the egg hunt three times ($21).
